Mobile first, taken literally

A phone column even on a desktop screen: a bottom tab bar, bottom-sheet forms, safe-area-aware layout. It reads as a native app because it is laid out like one rather than like a website that shrinks.

The engine is the product

A finance app that shows you a pie chart of your own spending has told you nothing you did not already suspect. The recommendation engine is pure and dependency-free, and it works only from transactions that actually happened:

  • a savings-rate floor, targeting 15% of income
  • category overruns against a healthy reference share
  • recurring drains, as subscriptions accumulate
  • frequency habits, ten small dining transactions rather than one large one
  • housing sanity, when rent creeps past a third of income
  • uncategorised leaks, money that cannot be accounted for
  • goal catch-up, when a savings target falls behind its own calendar

Each finding is ranked by the monthly money it could free, and each one states that number. "Halving how often you eat out saves roughly $94.25 a month" is actionable in a way that "reduce discretionary spending" is not.

Private by construction

Everything lives in the browser's local storage. No account, no server, no tracking, and no third party holding a ledger of what someone earns and spends. Export and import as JSON, so the data stays theirs in a form they can take elsewhere.
